Fr Joe Taylor celebrates 50 years of Priestly Ministry

May 18, 2024Father Joe Taylor, the Parish Priest of Shepparton, will mark 50 years in the priesthood this weekend by celebrating with eight couples who are observing their golden wedding anniversaries this year. He expressed his excitement at reaching this milestone since his ordination at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Echuca, on May 18, 1974. During his 50 years of service, Father Joe has ministered in 10 parishes across Victoria and Papua New Guinea. His celebration will take place at the 11am Mass at St Brendan’s Catholic Church in Shepparton on Sunday, May 19, followed by a gathering in Monsignor Bones Hall next to the Church.
